15 - 27 March 2026
From 15 to 27 March 2026, young people from Greece, Poland, and Cyprus gathered in Łódź, Poland, to participate in the Erasmus+ Youth Exchange The World At Hand – A Braille Comic. The project brought together participants with and without visual impairments, creating a unique space for dialogue, cooperation, and creative expression.
Throughout the exchange, participants explored how people perceive and experience the world through different senses. Through interactive workshops, discussions, storytelling activities, and collaborative learning, they exchanged personal experiences and reflected on issues related to accessibility, inclusion, communication, and everyday life.
A central outcome of the project was the co-creation of a Braille comic, developed around themes such as personal passions, interpersonal relationships, nature, and the perception of art through touch. By working together, participants challenged stereotypes surrounding visual impairment and highlighted the importance of empathy, understanding, and equal participation in society.
Beyond the educational activities, the exchange offered valuable opportunities for intercultural learning, friendship, and personal growth. Participants discovered new perspectives, developed communication and teamwork skills, and experienced firsthand the power of inclusive creative practices.
The project demonstrated how art can become a bridge between different experiences and realities, fostering meaningful connections and promoting a more accessible and inclusive society for all.
