Meetings with young poets at IANOS Athens

On Thursday, May 8 at 19:30, IANOS collaborator Thanasis Panou will host poet Antonis Ampartzidis as part of the discussion series “Meetings with Young Poets” at the IANOS café in Athens.

Inspired by his poetry collections “Skala” (Thermaikos Publications, 2019) and “Akathistos” (IANOS Publications, 2023), the poet will discuss his influences, creative triggers, and first encounters with the art of poetry.


About the Guest

Antonis Dionysios Ampartzidis was born in 1988. He holds a degree in Political Science and History from Panteion University and a Master’s in Shipping and Business Services from the University of the Aegean. His poems have been featured in various anthologies and published online. His debut poetry collection, “Skala”, was published in 2019, followed by “Akathistos”, his second major work. The event will take place at IANOS Athens (Stadiou 24) and will be streamed live on IANOS’ YouTube channel.

With the support of MYARTIST, the event will be accessible to deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals, featuring Greek Sign Language interpretation by HandsUp.

This event marks a new collaboration between MYARTIST and the Italian-Greek cultural organization for education, MICROKOSMOS, under the auspices of the Honorary Consulate General of Greece in Turin.
