Inauguration of the Educational Greenhouse at E.E.E.E.K. Kallithea

On Tuesday, December 3, a day dedicated to Disability Awareness, the inauguration of the new educational greenhouse took place at E.E.E.E.K. Kallithea. This is a pioneering project at a national level, implemented through a proposal by E.E.E.E.K. Kallithea in collaboration with MYARTIST Social Cooperative Enterprise and the Municipality of Kallithea, and approved for the first time by the Green Fund.

The greenhouse significantly enhances the school’s Floriculture and Agriculture Workshop and offers students the opportunity to develop new skills through experiential and participatory learning. At the same time, it works in close connection with the Cooking and Pastry Making and Ceramics and Handicrafts workshops, strengthening the link between education, production, and creativity.

The presence of the Regional Director of Education of Attica, Mr. Leonidas Mantzos, was a great honor for the school, as he supported and highlighted the project and the vision of the educational community. Among the attendees were the Deputy Regional Education Officer, representing the Governor of Attica, Mr. Nikos Chardalias, the Deputy Regional Education Officer of the Southern Sector, Ms. Errika Prezerakou, the former Minister of Migration, Ms. Sofia Voultepsi, Mr. Spyros Kontarakis, former Director of Agios Dimitrios and key figure in the founding of E.E.E.E.K. Kallithea, as well as representatives of parents’ associations.

This initiative highlights E.E.E.E.K. Kallithea as a model of educational innovation, promoting innovation, sustainability, and participatory education. It is a school that connects learning with practice and creates meaningful opportunities for growth for all students.

In the coming period, information and training workshops will be organized, along with the development of an educational guide, which will be distributed to relevant bodies of the Municipality and the Ministry of Education.
