Art in the Here and Now II

The exhibition “Art in the Here and Now 2” took place at Art Showroom Nyfadopoulos in Marousi, from 11 September to 11 October 2026, bringing together 46 artists from 10 countries and representing a wide range of generations, from 11 to 82 years old.

Artists from Greece, England, Albania, Armenia, Austria, the United States, Spain, Italy, Croatia and the Cayman Islands came together through different forms of artistic expression, all sharing a common point of reference: the “here and now.”

Video, sculpture, painting, poetry and photography coexisted in the same space, creating an open dialogue between different experiences, personal stories and forms of expression. The exhibition gave space to both individual and collective experiences, inviting visitors to observe, connect and see contemporary reality through different artistic perspectives.

Participating artists included Anastasios Nyfadopoulos, Brigitte Schrottenbacher, Álvaro García Moreno, Alessandro De Martino, Rebeka Legović, Sarkis Hambaryan, Silvana Zhongo and Thomas Lisle, alongside many other artists from Greece and abroad.

Special emphasis was also placed on accessibility. With the support of MYARTIST, the exhibition followed the principle of inclusion that had already been introduced in the first edition, offering audio descriptions of the artworks and catalogues in Braille, allowing more visitors to experience and engage with the exhibition.

At the same time, through the collaboration with Wendy Posner and Posner Fine Art in Los Angeles, the exhibition also gained an international digital presence through Posner Fine Art and the Artsy platform, giving audiences outside Greece the opportunity to discover the work of the participating artists.

The exhibition concluded with a special closing event, where visual art was brought together with music and poetry. Accompanied on guitar by musician and visual artist Thomas Germakopoulos, actors Sofia Nyfadopoulou and Nikolas Bouzalakos recited poems presented as part of the exhibition.

“Art in the Here and Now 2” was created through the collaboration between Art Showroom Nyfadopoulos and Posner Fine Art, with the support of individuals and organisations that contributed to its realisation. These included Mapei, DocuPlus, ArrenA Natural Mineral Water, NICO LAZARIDI, MYARTIST as Accessibility Sponsor, and ArtVolt as the navigation app.

More than a gathering of different artworks, the exhibition became a space for communication and exchange, where different generations, countries and artistic forms came together around one shared question: how do we experience and express the here and now?
