MYARTIST presents the first fully accessible digital painting exhibition “(IN)VISIBLE TRAUMA”.

The digital exhibition “(IN)VISIBLE TRAUMA” is the first fully accessible art exhibition for people with disabilities. Eight children’s drawings are exhibited on an open-access digital platform, revealing painful childhood experiences of abuse, bullying, grief, fear of death, etc. The drawings, combined with the children’s narratives, capture stolen childhoods, experienced traumas, and the darker aspects of life.

The public can navigate through the children’s drawings, read, listen to or view the corresponding narratives with interpretation in Greek Sign Language and International Sign. For the analysis of the drawings, truly neutral and inclusive solutions were sought that meet the standards of Universal Design for Learning and the European Parliament’s Gender Neutral Language Guide.

The aim of the exhibition is to raise awareness of childhood trauma and help parents, teachers and caregivers to recognize it at an early stage, as well as to provide the required information to break the cycle of trauma.
