Child protection Policy
Protecting all children from all forms of abuse is a top priority for the MYARTIST team. We are committed to providing a completely safe, supportive and non-violent environment for the children we work with. Through our activities aimed at promoting art as a means of social change and empowerment for adults and youth, we strive to create conditions that allow each child to develop and feel that they are in an environment based on love and respect and free from fear.
For this reason, we have a zero tolerance policy towards abuse and our work is always focused on the welfare and protection of children’s rights and is implemented accordingly.
Our child protection policy has been developed in accordance with national, European and global conventions and legal frameworks. In particular, MYARTIST’s activities comply with both the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, which explicitly mention the rights of children and emphasise the need for protection from all forms of violence.
Our commitment to child protection is guided by the regulations and recommendations of international organisations such as UNICEF (see “Guidelines for the Protection of Children’s Rights”) and UNESCO (see “Recommendation on the Status of Teachers”), always ensuring that our policies and practises are up to date to ensure the well-being of all children. At the same time, we adhere to the recommendations and standards of international organisations, such as the International Guidelines for Keeping Children Safe, which provide a comprehensive guide for organisations working with children and describe best practises that prioritise the best interests of the child and protect them from abuse, neglect and exploitation.
