Project co-financed by the Erasmus+ program | Youth Education

Duration of project: 2021 - 2024

The Project

The Erasmus+ KA220 project "4 ELEMENTS IN ARTS" aims to support educators working with adults from disadvantaged backgrounds and people with (specific) learning difficulties and talents. 4 ELEMENTS IN ARTS explores the potential of the 4 elements - predominant images in European culture - in relation to art, artistic socialization, creativity and creative thinking, focusing on the stories represented in works of visual art, paintings, drawings, sculptures, etc

The Framework

4 ELEMENTS IN ARTS, uncovers the deep connection between arts, culture and education and explores the transformative power of the four elements - earth, air, fire and water - in European art and heritage. Funded by the European Union. Views and opinions expressed are however those of the author(s) only and do not necessarily reflect those of the European Union or the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA). Neither the European Union nor EACEA can be held responsible for them.

The project is coordinated by CVO EduKempen in Belgium and brings together a diverse partnership of organisations from Spain (Dom Spain), Latvia (ZINI Foundation), France (Les Apprimeurs), Italy (Instituto dei sordi di Torino), Slovenia (The Slovenian Third Age University) and Greece (My Artist).

The Objectives

The project aims to improve adult educators' competences in the fields of arts, cultural heritage and English language learning. The project engages adult learners in adult education and learning throughout adult life. It also aims to improve learners' language, digital and creative/artistic thinking skills and strengthen their sense of inclusion.
